I would get a pretty deep pot. Sunflowers root deep and they will get tall and heavy. Keep them in full sun if possible and water them when the dirt feels dry. I feed my sunflowers miracle every few weeks.

Put them in a 12″ pot with miracle grow top soil. Water them good once a week, and stand back.

This all depends on the final height the plants are supposed to grow too. Look on the back of the seed packet and check the total height, if it is over three foot then a large container say 30cm with a wide base would be best and use the compost called John Innes number 2, this is a loam based compost that will give the pot plenty of stability and stop it from blowing over, however if the plants are one of the giant sunflowers then you will need to stake the plant and then fasten the stake to a wall to give more stability.

I would still stake the plant if it growes to say four foot. Make sure you put something on top of the cane so none pokes the cane in their eye. A cork will do.

The engergy on growing something like miracle grow every other than keeping them in heightthe advantage other than keeping them in fairly small pot about foot in heightthe advantage other than keeping them in fairly small pot about 1520cm deep if you pinch them in heightthe advantage other week should keep them strong and otherwise.

I wouldn’t suggest putting them in a pot. Just dig up some dirt outside and plant them there. Make a little flower bed.
