why wont seed from fruit you buy in store grow? what is done to them to make them grow?

I love to cultivate new things in my garden and greenhouse, but I tried many times cultivate cherrys of apples from the seeds of oranges from fruit that buy the deposit, not even sprut. What am I doing wrong?

The tree it came from is sterile hybrid.

The store try them and they take too long to bear fruiti grow no problem.
