Can I grow potatoes in my garden?

garden seed

I have a very small garden in a suburb, about 20 'by 60.' He has good sunlight. Most is a lawn with a small board full of plants. Is there any likelihood at all that I could grow enough potatoes to eat so that I don 't need to buy from a supermarket - or is completely unrealistic, just a pipe dream? I was wondering if I could buy the seeds (or whatever you need to buy!) And just proves that cultivates just a few potatoes at or in a corner… to keep my bills down and also by pure curiousity… I am the first to admit that I do not know absolutely nothing about gardening… or cultivate. If I 'm the communicating b / s now has pray from my misery but from… I just can 'ask for help t… Many thanks.

you can grow potatoes anywhere just dig a hole put a potatoe in and it will grow the plant grows up and the new potatoes grow underground lots of them when you dig thrm up if you dont get them all they grow again and take all the goodness from tne soil so nothing else grows and youl never get rid off the bastards good luck and make sure you get them all out

GET SOME TATERS AND LET THEM GROW EYES FIRST
ALLOW THEM TO GET ABOUT 1/2 INCH LONG
CUT THEM INTO QUARTERS EACH HAVIND EYES ON IT
TILL UP THE GROUND AND PLACE THE QUARTERS ON THE SOIL JUST PUSHED IN A LITTLE
MAKE A MOUND OVER THEM ALL ALONG THE ROW
    THEY WILL GROW FAST
WHEN IT IS TIME TAKE A TINE OR YOUR HANDS AND DIG THEM UP
    YOU WILL HAVE A BUNCH
PROBLEM IS THAT THEY WILL NOT KEEP ANY LONGER IN THE CUPBOARD THAN STORE BOUGHT SO IF YOU WANT THEM ALL YEAR YOU WILL BE BACK AT THE STORE IN NO TIME
