How or where can I get FREE garden supplies?

We are having a vegetable garden this year. We live close to Midland, MI. It will be the 1,000 squares. the feet of garden but we do not have a whole lot of money. How can I get the soil, mulch, compote, manurer, tools, seeds, plants and something like free?

For the goodwill salvation army this is beyond me ive received items in or fortrade stuff asis stores for goodwill salvation army this is the alleys and cant.
