garden seed

I want to plant some flowers in my garden, are those rollers of the seed a good idea. How long will take to bloom. If I want flowers soon should I just buy the bulbs of spring? I live in New Jersey (Northestern)

I have tried them but you must water them alot. don’t let them dry out until they germinate. spring bulbs wont do any good for this year. what zone are you in?
